Life as it is - Shemara Ramnarain

 Life as it is...

I sometimes feel I lead a boring life, but it's a busy life. I sometimes feel run down, I sometimes feel I am on a roller coaster. Nobody said life would be easy.

Working from home, having flexible hours, makes you lazy.  I have been at home now for around 9 months, and it was not only the lockdown but working from my home office. This has changed my routine after many years. The time, I get up, the time I have breakfast, the time I actually walk into the office. What is worst of all this there is no one to push me...like my mom use to do ...

Yes, I know what you about to say that we are all spoilt, or rather I was very spoilt. But I guess that's the way all of us grew up, being motivated by our parents to do the task even tho we did not like it. We did complain but we still had to do the task.

I guess we should really appreciate what we had and the lives we lived. Not everybody had the best of lives, but hey! look on the bright side we made the best of it.

Something that also comes to mind is that we did so much back then in a day, play hide and seek, caron board and the list can go on, we never got tired but enjoyed every minute it was a fun-filled day.

When we cross the bridge like I have done, there is certainly a new way of life that we lead. Lots and lots of people usually say don't get married and I guess that:s something we all decide for our selves. Its either you make it or break it, that is the marriage of course!

Now that I have sailed this ship, hah hah I must mention that even tho marriage is great...I did pick up some kg"s here and there. I guess that's what it's all about happiness filled in one bag enjoy every bit. When deciding to cross the bridge, or in other words tie the knot... go with your gut...You will know!

Let me share a little secret, if I may. I met my husband through a friend. He (Husband) had no idea what I looked like neither did I share a photo. It had gone over a month of chats and I knew and he knew we were meant for each other. It was not about the looks but about the pure compatibility

So life has its ways of working things out, and like the way mine did... everyone has a different journey. Never give up nor ignore the signs. Just be patient and all will be ok!.

Here are some of the rules that I am personally very strict on and follow.

1) Always be upfront

2) Always be honest

3) Don't take any nonsense from anyone

4) Have a smile even on the darkest days

5) Don't be too hard on yourself, but be wise

We are never born with a manual we must however make the wrong turns to make the right one. So don't be too upset with yourself, but learn from your lessons. It's scary tho when we meet people that are not meant to be met, and they have shaken you up from your daily life. These people are called negative people. Be bold and most importantly be very upfront about your life in general. Doing the right thing gets you a long way.

Surround yourself with people who talk about visions and ideas. Grow your circle with good vibes and people. You won't go wrong because it will only uplift you.

Life as is, it's yours and nobody else. Smile and let the world smile right back at you.
